VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) levels in US metalworking fluids are currently determined by EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Test Method 24 (this test is only relevant in the USA).
The majority of today’s fin stamping lubricants currently used in the US market are VOC emitting. There are varying levels of emissions dependent upon the stamping fluid formulation.
